Who Are We?

IMG_0568

Back in 2013, two idiots brought together by their love of film (and incredible first names) decided that they were going to watch and review as many films as they physically could. After months of trying, their efforts have not been in vain as over 500 films to date have been reviewed, discussed and in some some cases…destroyed.

As we begin to branch out, we figure its only fair that people get to know the people behind the reviews. So without further ado, here are the boys behind the opinion:

Ian Morton

The big dude on the left of the photo is the Ian ending in Morton. Film fan to the core, his strengths lie within the superhero, drama and romantic comedy genres. A self proclaimed ‘Nolanite’, his favorite directors include Christopher Nolan, Richard Linklater and Denis Villeneuve. With more love for DiCaprio than his own girlfriend, Big Ian’s interests span the spectrum from early classics through to modern day blockbusters!

The guy with the crazy quiff on the right is me. Introduced to films at a very young age by my older brother, I have always been fascinated by film. If it isn’t horror films I’m watching, its a classic 90’s action movie or a modern day superhero movie. My influences in my life have been the work of Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. Passion for films flows through me and I’m always up for a healthy debate!

Take me home!

  1. Dear editor,

Hope this message finds you well. Very nice to stumbled upon your website and the interesting articles.

I’m a Malaysian indie film director currently residing in Beijing, China. I’ve got a directorial debut short film (The Story of 90 Coins) and a horror micro-short (The Tattooist) which I would like to share with you.

Both films are currently going their rounds at the film festival circuits and have been very successful in getting multiple film awards recognition.

‘The Story of 90 Coins’ has garnered about 60+ accolades from international film festivals; which includes the Best Direction & Best Cinematography at Malta Int’l Short Film Festival, Best Foreign Short & Best Actress at Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards, Best Drama & Best Cinematography at Los Angeles Film Awards, Best Foreign Short Film at Ukrainian International Short Film Festival, Rising Star Awards at Canada International Film Festival, an Official Finalist at London Film Awards, among others.

‘The Tattooist’ is currently making its round at the horror film festival circuit and has been winning a number of international accolades. Winner at Canada’s Bloody Horror International Film Festival, Horrorhaus Film Festival in LA, Canada’s Terror in the Bay Film Festival and multiple wins at Diabolical Horror Film Festival, nominee at Vancouver Badass Film Festival, to name a few.

Below are the links for both Press Kit, which include relevant info such as screener link, official Facebook page, IMDb film page, awards won, etc.

It will be very thoughtful of you if you care to write a film review on your site and/or at the film’s IMDb User Review page. Hope you’ll like them! Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you.

  2. Hi Adi, thanks for sending this through – we would love to give this a watch! Are you on Facebook at all? We run all our independent film stuff through there as its easier to stay in contact with film makers about their projects, what they are working on now etc

  3. Hi
We are a group of Independent Filmmakers who recently completed our first feature film, Shadows Fall – a supernatural thriller in the vein of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, with a style inspired by the works of David Lynch. We wanted to submit our film for a review. Please let me know if that is possible and if you could send me a email address where I can send a private link.

Our website has the trailer and thy synopsis of the film. http://www.shadowsfallthefilm.com

    thanks
    Adi
